Common Traffic Offenses in Orange County

Often a client calls to inquire about their “ticket” when it actually is NOT just a ticket if filed as a misdemeanor. For example, if you are given a ticket for driving without a valid license, or driving on a suspended license, it is often filed as a misdemeanor which is NOT a mere traffic infraction. All misdemeanors are criminal offenses. If you had a DUI in the past and never obtained a valid license, then you will be charged with a certain section of the vehicle code: 14601.2 V.C.  This conviction requires a minimum of 10 days in jail for your first offense.  Even if you are guilty of such an offense, let us represent you so that you will not lose your freedom and have to sit in jail for any period of time. For a second conviction of such offense, the penalties are more severe. Having the right attorney on your side who knows how to negotiate such cases will definitely make a difference in the outcome of your case.

Always remember just because they gave you a ticket does not mean it will stay an infraction. Often it goes to the District Attorney for review and it is filed as a misdemeanor. Our firm has great success in getting the District Attorney or Court to reduce such offense to infractions.

If you have a mere traffic infraction we can also represent you in court.
